  • God of this City!

    What a day!
Today was Serve Day in KCK and KCMO and my family was assigned to the home of Chuck Allen. We dug in his yard to do some landscaping and to finish building a deck and to extend his kids basket ball court!
3 girls and I went down to a near by church and sawed up a bunch of tree limbs and branches that had fallen during all the storms.
The groundsman came to mow the lawn and his next job was to call someone to move all the limbs and branches...Well, We'd already done it. he said he felt guilty for letting us do all of his work but we told him to feel Blessed be cause we're doing HIS work, the work of the King. He smiled and thanked us. I could see the gratitude in his eyes. it made me feel good.
Next we took to the streets with trash bags and buckets to collect trash and glass from the neighborhood streets and sidewalks.
So many people are out in the city working hard all for the Glory of God today and this city should feel blessed!

Do ALL things NOT for the Praises of MAN but FOR THE GLORY OF THE LORD YOUR GOD!

    God of this City:Chris Tomlin
You're the God of this city, You're the King of these people
You're the Lord of this nation, You are
You're the Light in this darkness, You're the Hope to the hopeless
You're the Peace to the restless, You are

  • Hello to whom ever may stumble across my page!
I'm new to revelife but not new at all to xanga. I am so excited to know that there is a Christian Weblog community. I think things like this are very important and a great way for us to connect and grow and encourage each other in our faith as well as to be a witness to those who are not believers.

If you have a xanga, you may check my other sites out at:
    dreaming_of_destiny and I_want_Something_Real
I haven't updated in forever tho.

Anyways, I am looking forward to making many new friends and sharing my adventures with God and with my church.
This weekend is Serve Day in KCK and KCMO and it's being powered by 3 churches in the "What if the Church" effort.
    check it out at www.whatifthechurch.net
One of the pastors called United Way since this Saturday is their served day as well and asked if they wanted to take on an estimated 2,000 extra volunteers from 3 partnering local churches and I am actually thrilled to say they turned us down....we are bigger than the united way in our efforts to change our city.... Because God is BIGGER than the United Way and He is BIGGER than the poverty level of KC Metro and He is BIGGER than any project we have ahead of us and I am SO EXCITED to see what God is going to do in the heart of kansas city this weekend.

Lives and neighborhoods will be changed!

Well, It is very late and i need my rest because tomorrow my class of 3 year olds will demand my energy and my attention greatly.
    Good Night and God Bless.

About Me

  • I am almost 20 years old and I love God! I attend Johnson County Community College for a certificate in Desktop Publishing and my GenEd Degree. I work at The Whole Child Learning and Development Center because I love kids and it's a great way to spend time with them and show them the love of God every day. I attend Cedar Ridge Christian Church with my family and we LOVE it there. I love doing missions trips and serve days near home. I like music and sports and spending time with family and friends.
